Frequently Asked Questions
-
Getting a cat is a lifelong commitment, be sure to consider all factors and aspects of your life that may be impacted before making your decision. Some important considerations include:
Lifestyle
Do you stay at home often or do you travel overseas frequently? Ensure that your cat is well taken care of when you are away. As much as cats are commonly seen as independent and solitary, they do enjoy human companionship and spending time with them.
Finances
Taking care of a cat is akin to taking care of a new family member. Monthly recurring costs include food, cat litter, supplements (if any), visits to the vet and medication whenever your cat is unwell. Consider your financial situation before committing to a lifelong companion.
Consensus with family members
Please make sure that every single member in your household agrees and is comfortable with having a new cat joining your family. We have read that in many instances, people give up or abandon their cats eventually due to resistance from family members, or cat allergies caused to their family.
For allergy related issues especially, please determine if it is a serious case before making your decision to get a cat. Otherwise, we welcome you and your family to come visit and have a play session to see if there are any allergies caused from the interaction to help you make an informed decision.
Cat Management Framework (from 1 Sep 2024)
Under the recently rolled out Cat Management Framework from Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), a cluster of the National Parks Board (NParks), there are limitations to the number of cats and dogs to be kept according to housing types. Cat license is required and we will guide you on the necessary steps when you confirm your decision on getting a cat from us.

It depends on what kind of lifestyle you have and what you are looking for in a cat.
Do you have an active lifestyle which you would like to take your cat out on walks? Do you prefer your cat to be energetic and dog-like? If your answer is yes, you may like to have a Maine Coon or a Siberian for example.
If you have a more laid back lifestyle and would prefer a cat that has a more mellow nature and spends most of their time lounging and napping, occasionally sitting in your lap, then you might want to go for a Ragdoll or a British Shorthair.
That being said, of course there are exceptions that a Maine Coon might be laid back and a Ragdoll might be energetic. Sometimes, the breed that people select might not be the one they originally had in mind after interaction with the cats. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to visit us and have a play session to get a better feel of the cats to see which one is more suitable for you.

If you are interested in getting a kitten from us,
Submit the Kitten Interest Form on our website, drop us a DM in any of our social media pages, or simply send us a Whatsapp message indicating your interest.
We will get in touch with you shortly to understand what you are looking for and share what kittens we have currently and in the near future. If you are keen to proceed further, we will make an appointment with you for you to come visit the kittens for a play session.
Please ensure that you inform the number of visitors as we would like to keep the interaction intimate and allow the kittens to have ample space. We would also request you to bring a fresh pair of socks for hygiene purposes.
Once you find a suitable kitten and would like to proceed with the adoption, we will request a deposit (50% of the total price) to reserve your kitten.
After the deposit is made, you may prepare your home to welcome your kitten such as installation of window grilles/mesh.
In the meantime, we will transfer the Cat License/Ownership to you in the AVS Pet Animal Licensing System (PALS). You will need to complete the Pet Ownership Course if you are a first-time pet owner or have not done so. Once the License/Ownership is successfully transferred, we will then schedule a date and time for you to pick up your kitten.
Before leaving our cattery, we will provide you with a hands-on session which we will equip you with the basic grooming skills and tips needed to take care of your kitten such as cleaning of ears, brushing of teeth, trimming of nails and deworming.
Kitten’s pedigree and lineage papers from recognised associations, vaccination and health records will be provided to you as well.
