British Shorthairs are medium to large cats, known for their dense, plush coat, round face, chubby cheeks, and big round eyes that radiate curiosity and affection. They are robust, muscular, and well-proportioned.

They come in a wide variety of colours and patterns, including:

  • Solid Colours: Blue, Cream, Black, White

  • Patterns: Tabby, Colourpoint, Bicolour, Shaded

Average Weight:

  • Males: 5–8 kg

  • Females: 4–6 kg

British Shorthairs are known for their calm and relaxed nature.

They are friendly, patient, and gentle, making them excellent companions for children and other pets. While they enjoy attention and cuddles, they are not overly demanding and are often happy observing the household quietly.

  • Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) – a kidney disease that is largely a genetic condition that ethical breeders screen for

  • Obesity
